Website Building: The finishing touches
Saving Changes
The changes to your website save automatically when you finish your session. You won’t have to worry about losing any changes you make to your website. While in editing mode, the most recently changed version of your website appears when you open it. You can work on this version whenever you have time to update your website. Your changes won’t be visible to the visitors until you publish or re-publish your website, so you can stop whenever you like and finish in another session.
Undo / Redo
Use the arrows to undo/redo changes to your website. Remember that changes save after each session, so you can only undo changes during the session.
Preview
Preview your website from your visitors’ perspective. Test functionality and experience your website as a visitor. Now is your chance to detect inconsistencies in your design and navigation. Clean up your website, remove unnecessary buttons, and try out the links on your page. You can switch between Desktop and Mobile View. Our editor uses responsive design to adapt the page to any device by optimizing image size and navigation to suit screen size and resolution. There’s no need to work on separate versions of your website for desktop and mobile browsers.
Publish/Unpublish
Once you’re finished working on your website, you can publish it to make it visible online. Republish your site whenever you have made updates so that you keep visitors informed and up-to-date.
If you need to put a pause on things, you can unpublish your page. This means your website will no longer be visible online and visitors will not be able to access it. Bear in mind this might damage your ranking on search engines.
Upgrade
When you’re ready, consider upgrading your website from the free Play plan to a paid premium plan. You can compare our plans on our website. Each includes the domain feature that allows you to connect a unique domain to your website.
When upgrading, make sure to choose an Online Store plan if you want to use our store feature to sell your products now or in the future.
